Job Summary:

This role serves as the central coordination hub for all mountain incidents at Whistler Blackcomb, receiving emergency calls, assessing situations, and dispatching the appropriate patrol resources. Patrol Dispatch is responsible for managing communications, coordinating guest and staff rescues, maintaining operational records,



and supporting incident response efforts, including serious medical emergencies, avalanches, and missing persons. The position requires strong decision-making, multitasking, and organizational skills to ensure the safe and efficient operation of mountain safety services while delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Job Specifications:

- Starting Wage: $20.00/hr - $23.00/hr
- Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2026/2027
- Shift Type: Full Time hours available
- Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age
- Housing Availability: Yes

Job Responsibilities:

- Receive calls from guests & staff reporting injuries. Collect information regarding the nature, location & severity of each injury.
- Oversee and delegate the patrol response to mountain incidents including injuries, avalanches and missing persons. Delegate appropriate personnel and resources to situations that include: Staff & public buried in avalanches, responsible medical emergencies and missing persons.
- Act as the Incident commander for major incidents on hill.
- Ensure transport of Guests and or Staff off the slopes of Whistler Blackcomb mountains.
- Liaise with external services and stakeholders in the rescue and continued care of patients
- Maintain records for all daily operations including: Injuries, ski run trail checks,



and avalanche control and accident investigations.
- Multitask using a variety of communication types including radio, phone and computer
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work under pressure, carrying out multi-tasking duties and remain calm and alert at all times. Excellent interpersonal skills and team play.

Job Requirements:

- Operational Experience in Patrol, Dispatch, Mountain Operations or Emergency Services
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and multi task
- Knowledge of Whistler Blackcomb Terrain preferred
- Ability to ski or snowboard required
- Capable of establishing priorities and managing the resulting workload.
- Must have excellent written and communication skills.
