Drive meaningful change as a Senior Accountant with Covenant House Vancouver, focusing on financial accuracy in a challenging yet rewarding setting. You will support accounting operations critical to our mission.

In this role, your responsibilities will encompass daily transaction management and month-end reconciliations within a non-profit context. With over 5 years of experience, you’ll collaborate with department managers, providing essential budget insights and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze financial information and present summaries monthly
• Post accounts payable batches daily and reconcile accordingly
• Assist in maintaining financial report templates




• Review and ensure proper application of policies and controls
• Serve as backup for the assistant controller when needed

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA preferred
• Minimum of 5 years in accounting, non-profit experience a plus
• Solid communication and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Sage 300
• Ability to effectively manage competing deadlines
