Utilities Kingston is seeking an Electrical Technologist to drive the design and expansion of electrical distribution systems. Use your expertise in AutoCAD and electrical safety codes to support community utility services.
You will prepare comprehensive designs, analyze project impacts, and ensure reliability in electric distribution for various sectors. The role demands a strong understanding of electrical theory and compliance with safety regulations. Candidates with a CET designation or experience in related fields are strongly encouraged to apply, contributing to a team-oriented team focused on community improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare cost estimates and designs for electrical projects
• Document and plan asset replacement initiatives
• Inspect installations and ensure adherence to standards
• Provide developers with information on connection processes
• Analyze the impact of customer connections on the distribution system
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Engineering Technology diploma or Bachelor's Degree
• Advanced skills in AutoCAD and SPIDAcalc
• Working towards CET certification
• Knowledge of utility safety and compliance regulations
