Become an Infection Prevention and Control Lead at The Salvation Army, focusing on minimizing infection risks and ensuring safety protocols in long-term care facilities. This on-site role involves working various shifts.
As a key member of The Salvation Army’s healthcare team, you will oversee IPAC measures, conduct staff training, and ensure compliance with Ministry standards. This role blends leadership with education and requires flexibility to adapt to changing health needs, ensuring optimal safety within care homes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and oversee the IPAC Program implementation
• Conduct audits and monitoring of infection control practices
• Facilitate quarterly meetings with the healthcare team
• Provide staff training on infection prevention strategies
• Act swiftly to manage outbreaks and health alerts
Requirements:
• Registered Nurse with IPAC certification (or in progress)
• Minimum of 3-5 years' IPAC experience
• Proven ability to lead and mentor healthcare staff
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Transparent VSC and recent TB screening needed
