Join Ellison Elementary as a temporary Primary Teacher focusing on Grade 1/2 students. This role aims for excellence in classroom management and instructional practices every Friday.

Starting September 8, 2026, until June 25, 2027, this 0.2 FTE position emphasizes developing culturally relevant teaching strategies. Preference is given to those who self-declare Indigenous ancestry, contributing to our diverse learning setting. Eligible candidates should hold a BC Teaching Certificate and have a recognized degree in elementary education.

• Support and communicate effectively with parents




• Utilize technology to enhance instruction and reporting
• Conduct assessments to guide instructional decisions

Requirements:
• Must possess a current BC Teaching Certificate
• Recognized degree in Elementary Education
• Proven experience teaching at the primary level
• Understanding of First Nations Languages and cultures
• Skills in using assessment for learning tools
