We are looking for a caring, reliable, and engaging nanny to join our family as I slowly return to work from maternity leave in September. The position will begin with approximately 5-10 hours per week, gradually increasing to around 15 hours per week. Our hope is to find someone interested in a longer-term position that will eventually grow into approximately 3 days per week, 5 hours per day. About the role The primary responsibility will be caring for our infant, including: Providing attentive, nurturing care Feeding, diapering, naps, and age-appropriate play Taking the baby outside for walks and activities Helping maintain the baby's routine We also have a 9-year-old and a 16-year-old in the home. They are largely independent, but we would occasionally appreciate some additional help with things like: Preparing a simple family dinner Helping with or supervising the children occasionally Supporting the general flow of the household when needed The person we're looking for We'd love to find someone who is: Warm, patient, and genuinely enjoys caring for children Reliable and dependable Comfortable caring for an infant independently Energetic and engaged rather than primarily focused on screen-based activities Comfortable becoming a familiar and trusted part of our family over time Interested in a long-term commitment as the position grows Experience caring for infants is important. First aid/CPR certification and references are an asset. Hours Starting: 5-10 hours/week Gradually increasing to: approximately 15 hours/week Longer-term goal: 3 days/week × 5 hours/day We are somewhat flexible with the exact days and times and are happy to discuss what works for the right person.
