Cornwall Community Hospital (CCH) is an acute care hospital located in Cornwall, Ontario along the scenic St. Lawrence River. CCH provides a full range of acute inpatient, outpatient and community mental health services to a catchment area of 100,000 people from the communities of Cornwall, the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry and to the Mohawk community of Akwesasne.

Summary of responsibilities
As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the role of Registered Nurse (RN) at CCH is to deliver safe, effective, patient-centered, ethical, and evidenced-based nursing care. The overall function of the RN is to assist our patients and community to manage clinical conditions and transitions and maximize their self-care abilities. The RN also acts as a resource for members of the care team as well as embody a culture of caregiver inclusion in the patient's plan of care.
Requirements of the job
- Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Current certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

- Demonstrated regular, punctual attendance
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety
- Clinical knowledge and experience with central lines and peripheral lines
- 1-2 years of surgical nursing experience
- 1-2 years of Emergency or Critical Care nursing experience
- PACU course or enrolled and completed within 1 year of hire
- Completion of critical care self-learning modules
- Functional proficiency in English (oral and written)

- Functional level in oral French - and testing completed
