Founding Engineer

At Orbiton our mission is to make more companies public. We’re building an operating system for public companies — starting by replacing the army of consultants issuers pay for investor relations with AI-native software and agents. Our product manages IR workflows, builds and runs issuer websites, and communicates with investors autonomously.

We’re a team with deep hands-on experience running IR operations for public companies. We now serve more than 60 public company clients across TSX, TSXV, CSE, NYSE, and NASDAQ.

We have paying customers, a working product shipping daily, and a clear path to owning the entire outsourced labor stack for public companies. We’re seeking someone smart and hungry to build the next iterations of the product with us. We are building in Vancouver, in person. We work 6 days a week to make our product a reality.

What you’ll do here

- Develop autonomous agents capable of managing investor relations activities, including investor communications, disclosure process workflows, and maintenance of IR portals.
- Integrate with market data providers, exchanges, and financial infrastructure.
- Ship new features daily in Next.js and TypeScript on Supabase, Postgres, and Vercel.
- Build agentic workflows on Claude (Anthropic API) and background jobs with Trigger.dev.
- Make rapid decisions through direct customer interaction.
- Own problems end-to-end.

What do you bring to the table

- More than 5 years of software engineering experience.
- Broad knowledge of public companies across the TSX, TSXV, CSE, NYSE, and NASDAQ.
- A pragmatic approach to building fast in the early stages of a company.




- A profound and compelling interest in the rapidly evolving capabilities of LLMs.
- 4+ years of experience with our stack or the ability to pick it up quickly: Next.js, Supabase, Postgres, Vercel, Trigger.dev, and building on LLM APIs.
- Curiosity about what problems our customers face and how we solve them.
- A sense of agency and urgency.
- An incredibly efficient attitude that guarantees success and drives results.
- A desire to write efficient code — the kind that impresses other engineers.

The candidate must demonstrate the flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate operational needs.

Compensation

- $150–200K CAD salary
- 1%–2% FD equity
