Job Summary

Richmond Station is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented Kitchen Helper to support daily kitchen operations. The Kitchen Helper will assist with basic food preparation, ingredient organization, dishwashing, cleaning, restocking, and maintaining a safe and organized kitchen workplace.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation and ingredient handling.
- Wash, peel, cut, portion, and organize ingredients as directed.
- Prepare ingredients and supplies for daily service.
- Assist cooks and other kitchen team members during busy periods.
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, cookware, utensils, and equipment.
- Keep food preparation areas, counters, floors, and storage areas clean.
- Restock ingredients, kitchen supplies, containers, and other materials.
- Receive and organize food and supply deliveries when required.
- Label and store food products according to established procedures.
- Dispose of garbage and recycling and maintain clean waste areas.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
- Use kitchen equipment and cleaning products safely and correctly.
- Report low inventory, damaged equipment, spills, or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties.
- Maintain an organized and sanitary kitchen throughout each shift.
- Perform other duties assigned by chefs, supervisors, or management.

Requirements

- Previous kitchen, restaurant, food service, or dishwashing experience is an asset.
- Food preparation experience is an asset but not required.




- Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Good attention to cleanliness and organization.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine physical tasks.
- Ability to lift and move kitchen supplies when required.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen sanitation.
- Experience with commercial kitchen equipment.
- Good time-management and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask during busy service periods.

Schedule

Pay: $17.60-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 34.0 per week
