Senior Tax Accountant
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting financial information, preparing financial statements, preparing tax returns, HST filings, payroll and other accounting matters. The candidate must be able to communicate well with the team and clients, and must come from a business and/or tax background. The candidate must have experience in both Personal (T1) and Corporate Tax (T2).
Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping using various cloud platforms
- Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with regulations both T2 and T1
- Communicate with clients to resolve inquiries and complete requests
- Coordinate with CRA on client matters and to resolve any issues
- Utilize accounting software for both accounting and tax purposes
- Handle payroll processing
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 2 years experience in Canadian accounting and/or tax
- Proficiency in using accounting and bookkeeping software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
