Shipping & Receiving Associate

Shift: Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Breaks: 30-minute unpaid lunch + two 15-minute paid breaks

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable, organized, and safety-focused Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting daily shipping and receiving operations, handling deliveries, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring supplies and samples are properly packaged, labeled, stored, and delivered.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong organizational skills, and can safely handle materials and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform daily shipping and receiving activities, including receiving and processing incoming deliveries and orders.
- Interact professionally with customers and accept daily deliveries.
- Maintain accurate electronic and manual shipping and receiving documentation.
- Properly package, label, and store supplies and samples.
- Deliver samples to production laboratories several times throughout the day.
- Assist with the long-term storage of client samples and the determination of their final disposition.
- Operate material-handling equipment as required, including:
- Counterbalance forklift
- Reach forklift
- Electric pallet truck
- Follow all workplace safety, ergonomic, and housekeeping procedures.




- Participate in area 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with the local leadership team.
- Follow proper procedures for the secure handling of hazardous materials.
- Perform other routine shipping, receiving, storage, and material-handling duties as required.

Requirements

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous shipping and receiving, warehouse, or material-handling experience is an asset.
- Forklift experience with Counterbalance and Reach equipment is preferred.
- Experience operating an Electric Pallet Truck is an asset.
- Ability to safely handle and move materials in accordance with company procedures.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and leadership.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance from coworkers.
- Ability to safely climb ladders.
- Hazardous/Hazmat training will be provided in-house as required.

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
