Job Title: Full Time Farm Manager – Thoroughbred Horse Facility

Job Overview
We seek a reliable, motivated individual to join our team as Farm Manager at a private thoroughbred racehorse facility. This position is ideal for a candidate who enjoys working independently with horses and performing general property maintenance. The Farm Manager will be in charge of scheduling appointments, hiring, and managing the welfare of both the horses and the facility. You must be over 18 years old to apply.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide basic equine care for 14+ horses: feeding, turnout/bring-in, mucking up to 8 stalls, grooming, and basic veterinary support (e.g., leg wrapping, wound care, health checks).
- Perform general groundskeeping: mowing, weeding, light gardening, and snow removal.
- Assist with foal handling: gentle interaction promotes early handling and trust.
- Confidently handle broodmares, foals, yearlings, and active racehorses.
- Scheduling vet & farrier appointments




- Hiring and managing weekend staff
- Note: This position does not include riding responsibilities.

Work Schedule

- Monday - Friday: 8 AM – 4 PM (some flexibility may be available)

Required Qualifications

- Advanced equine handling experience (minimum) - we will not consider beginner experience.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Working mobile phone with texting capabilities
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Previous experience with tractors is an asset, but not required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$33.00 per hour
