Job Description

We are currently looking for a CNC Operator to run our lasers and routers in our Fabrication Department

This is a full-time position. The position will be responsible for production flow, workspace arrangement, shop maintenance, and equipment management, particularly, but not exclusively, CNC Lasers and Routers.

This role would suit a down-to-earth individual who can work to deadlines. Capable of making minor changes to files using AutoCAD. Reliability in getting the job right the first time is also crucial.

· Must have a reliable Vehicle.

· Work well with a team and take direction.

· Good oral and written communication skills.

· The ability to liaise with shop floor personnel and Managers.

· Comfortable working in a rapid-paced environment

Job Responsibilities:

· Set up, operate and maintain CNC Lasers and Routers

· Manage Material inventory to coincide with the CNC Production cue

· Troubleshoot minor CNC-related problems

· Read and interpret technical drawings, AutoCAD, and machine software.

· Load material by hoist or by lifting stock manually into position.

· Comfortable with hand and power tools/ cutting, drilling, tapping and basic machining





· Knowledge of basic electrical wiring, an asset

· Experience with plastics and wood is a plus

Qualifications:

· At least one year of work experience operating a CNC Laser or Router

· High Organizational skills

· Ability to work with a team and independently

· Dependable and able to work flexible hours

· Familiarity with Mazak controls and Auto CAD

The wage will be between $25.00 and $30.00, depending on experience.
