One of our manufacturing clients close to Ingersoll, ON is looking for a Controls Engineer to join their team.

Pay - $110-$125K

Responsibilities:

- Support the long-term automation and digital transformation roadmap.

- Identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies to improve operational performance, reliability, quality, safety, and cost.

- Program and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs.

- Identify opportunities to use AI and advanced analytics for process optimization, predictive maintenance, quality control, and production planning.

- Develop and implement automation solutions to improve process stability, reduce variability, and increase OEE.

- Provide technical leadership for automation projects, capital projects, equipment upgrades, and process improvements.

- Establish and maintain automation standards, architectures, and best practices.

- Evaluate the business value and ROI of automation and digital transformation projects.





- Promote innovation and continuous improvement across the organization.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Automation/Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.

- Strong knowledge of industrial automation, electrical systems, and industrial computing.

- Strong knowledge of industrial vision systems.

- Experience with PLC and HMI programming.

- Knowledge of Control Expert, TIA Portal, Citect, AutoCAD, is an asset.

- Good understanding of industrial equipment connected to computer networks.

- Good understanding of computer systems and capabilities.

- Proficiency with basic Windows applications.

- Robust problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
