Infinite Accounting Solutions is looking for a Bookkeeper to join our growing team. This is a maternity cover position, with the intention of offering a permanent position to the right candidate at the end of the maternity leave period. We're looking for someone who has a solid understanding of bookkeeping fundamentals, is comfortable learning new systems, and takes pride in producing accurate and organized work.

Responsibilities

- Complete day-to-day bookkeeping for assigned clients
- Record and categorize transactions accurately
- Complete bank and credit card reconciliations
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Assist with payroll-related bookkeeping
- Maintain supporting documentation and organized client files
- Work within QuickBooks Online and other bookkeeping applications
- Follow client-specific procedures and internal checklists
- Identify discrepancies and ask questions when something doesn't look right
- Assist with month-end bookkeeping and reporting
- Communicate with clients and team members regarding missing information and bookkeeping questions

What We're Looking For

- Approximately 1+ year of bookkeeping experience
- Experience with QuickBooks Online
- Good understanding of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles




- Robust attention to detail
- Comfortable working with multiple clients and deadlines
- Organized and able to manage recurring tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Willingness to ask questions and learn
- Ability to follow established processes while recognizing when something may need further review
- Experience with Dext, payroll, GST/PST, or other bookkeeping software is an asset

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is reliable, curious, detail-oriented and eager to learn. You don't need to know every system we use, we're happy to train the right person.

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
