Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager, the Community Relations Coordinator will provide administrative and operational support to the Marketing Department while taking the lead on a variety of public relations, community engagement, sponsorship, and employee events. The successful candidate will help develop event concepts, coordinate logistics, maintain event and marketing calendars, support social media initiatives, and ensure events and community initiatives are executed seamlessly from planning through to post-event reporting.
This role is well suited to someone who is organized, creative, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, a professional presence, and a genuine interest in creating positive experiences for both the community and employees.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The key job functions are:
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Marketing & Communications team.
- Assist with marketing campaigns, projects, presentations, promotional materials, and communications.
- Coordinate corporate, community, industry, charitable, and employee events from concept through execution.
- Research and recommend public relations, sponsorship, and community engagement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain annual marketing, events, sponsorship, and community engagement calendars.
- Coordinate event logistics, including venues, vendors, registrations, promotional materials, staffing, and attendee communications.
- Coordinate vendor communications, invoices, contracts, registrations, and sponsorship agreements.
- Represent the organization at community, industry, charitable, and public relations events.
- Support social media content creation and post event-related content across relevant platforms.
- Coordinate employee celebrations, appreciation events, recognition programs, team-building activities, and corporate functions.
- Maintain accurate records of events, sponsorships, donations, budgets, and community initiatives.
- Track event expenses and assist with budget reporting and reconciliation.
- Gather attendance, participation, feedback, and cost information following events.
- Prepare post-event reports and recommendations to evaluate effectiveness and ROI.
- Identify opportunities to improve future events, community engagement, and employee experiences.
Education:
- Diploma, certificate, or degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, Event Management, or a related field.
Qualifications:
- Must be comfortable working fully in office.
- Local travel required for events and community activities; driving license and reliable transportation is required.
Experience:
- 2–3 years of experience in marketing administration, communications, event coordination, public relations, or a related role is required.
- Previous experience coordinating corporate events, employee functions, sponsorships, or community initiatives is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong organizational, planning, and project coordination skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and marketing-related software.
- Creative, resourceful, and comfortable developing new event and engagement ideas.
- Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, collaborative, and able to exercise sound judgment and discretion.
- Comfortable working independently while contributing effectively within a team.
Base Salary: $65,000 – 75,000+ per year
- Salary based on experience.
- Benefits provided after probationary period.
Work Hours:
- Monday to Friday.
- 40 hours per week.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for events and company functions is required.
Additional Notes:
- This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
