Commercial Vehicle Sales Associate – Abenante Motor Group
Location: Delta, BC
Position Type: Full-Time, In-Office
Compensation: Commission-Based / Performance-Based Pay
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
- Sell commercial trucks, vans, work vehicles, fleet vehicles, and other dealership inventory.
- Respond quickly and professionally to incoming phone, email, website, and online marketplace leads.
- Actively prospect for new customers and business opportunities rather than relying solely on incoming leads.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers.
- Develop relationships with contractors, businesses, fleet operators, and repeat commercial customers.
- Consistently follow up with leads and previous customers to generate new opportunities.
- Work toward and exceed individual sales targets and performance expectations.
Customer Relationship Management
- Identify each customer's business, vehicle, payload, equipment, and operational requirements.
- Recommend appropriate vehicles based on the customer's intended application.
- Conduct skilled vehicle presentations, walkarounds, and test drives.
- Build long-term relationships that generate repeat business and referrals.
- Maintain communication with customers throughout the entire purchasing process.
- Provide a high level of professionalism before, during, and after every sale.
Deal Management & Closing
- Work with management and the finance department to structure and complete transactions.
- Follow opportunities through from initial contact to deposit, documentation, and vehicle delivery.
- Maintain organized customer records and follow-up schedules.
- Coordinate with management, finance, service, detailing, and other departments to ensure vehicles are prepared for delivery.
- Maintain urgency throughout the sales process and actively work toward closing opportunities.
Product & Industry Knowledge
- Develop strong knowledge of Abenante Motor Group's commercial vehicle inventory.
- Understand the differences between various commercial vehicle classes, configurations, applications, and specifications.
- Learn how different vehicles serve industries such as construction, transportation, landscaping, trades, delivery, and fleet operations.
- Stay informed about available inventory, pricing, financing options, and market conditions.
- Continually improve your commercial vehicle and sales knowledge.
RequirementsExperience & Knowledge
- Previous automotive sales experience is preferred.
- Commercial vehicle, truck, equipment, fleet, or B2B sales experience is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of commercial trucks and work vehicles is strongly recommended.
- VSA Salesperson Licence.
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
