Senior AI-Focused Management Accountant

100% Remote | Part-Time to Full-Time | $50–$70/hour

What You'll Be Doing

As our Senior AI-Focused Management Accountant, you'll take senior-level responsibility for a portfolio of construction clients while working directly with our CEO and supervising two full-time Staff Accountants.

Your role will include:

- Construction Accounting Management: Oversee client accounts with a strong focus on Work-In-Progress (WIP) reporting, job costing, progress billing and overall financial performance.
- Client Advisory & Financial Meetings: Lead regular client meetings and presentations covering financial statements, cash-flow projections, job-costing performance and other key financial insights.
- CEO Collaboration: Work directly with the CEO on client account strategy, internal workflows,



financial forecasts and opportunities to continually improve how we operate.
- AI & Automation: Implement and use AI and automation tools to streamline month-end close, data extraction, financial modelling and other accounting workflows.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, review and mentor two full-time Staff Accountants, helping ensure accuracy, accountability and consistently high-quality work.
- Continuous Improvement: Help identify better ways of working—using technology, systems and your own experience to improve both internal operations and the value we deliver to clients.

What We're Looking For

You'll bring:

- 5+ years of progressive management accounting experience
- Hands-on construction accounting experience, particularly WIP and job costing
- Experience using AI tools, automation or modern accounting technology to improve workflows
- Strong client-facing and executive communication skills
- Experience supervising and developing junior or mid-level accounting professionals
- The ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insight
- A curious, adaptable and growth-oriented mindset

You don't need to be an AI developer.

You do need to be an excellent accountant who understands that technology is changing the profession—and wants to be part of that change.

Starting Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week

Compensation: $50–$70/hour, based on experience and capabilities
