Starting Wage: $18.50 per hour
Relief Driver Rate: $22.06 per hour for all hours worked performing driving duties.

Hertel's Meats Ltd. is looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Relief Driver / Packaging Labourer. This position primarily works in our Packaging Department and provides relief coverage for our delivery drivers during vacations, absences, and other operational needs.

What You'll Do

Packaging Duties

- Package meat products.
- Label, inspect, and prepare products for shipment.
- Maintain quality, food safety, and sanitation standards.
- Assist with general production and packaging duties as required.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Follow all company food safety, sanitation, and health and safety procedures.

Relief Driver Duties

- Provide relief coverage for delivery drivers during vacations, absences, and other operational needs.
- Safely operate company delivery vehicles to complete deliveries.
- Load and unload products for delivery.




- Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service to customers.
- Conduct basic pre-trip inspections and report any vehicle concerns.

Qualifications

- Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. on a regular basis.
- Comfortable working in a refrigerated food production environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
