At Fergie's, great events start with great hospitality. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people — someone who can build relationships with clients, understand what they're looking for, spot opportunities to make their experience even better, and then bring all the details together.
As our Wedding & Events Coordinator, you'll own the client experience from planning through execution. That means building relationships, staying on top of the administration, confidently suggesting experiences and add-ons that make sense for each client, and making sure everything comes together when it's time to deliver.
The role changes with the seasons. From May through October, the focus is weddings at Fergie's. From October through April, you'll shift toward corporate events at Sunwolf, office administration, and preparing for the wedding season ahead.
You'll work directly with the owner of Fergie's, who will mentor and support you while giving you the space to take ownership of the role. There's real opportunity to grow here and help shape what the position becomes over time.
Employment Type
Full-time, year-round
Schedule
Days and evenings depending on events, with flexibility where possible
Compensation
$50-55,000 base salary + gratuities. Gratuities are a meaningful part of the overall compensation for this role and have historically ranged from approximately $20,000–$25,000 annually. Gratuities fluctuate throughout the year based on wedding and event activity.
Benefits
Extended health benefits, available after 6 months of employment
THE RHYTHM OF THE ROLE
Spring — Wedding Season Prep
Connect with booked couples as wedding season approaches, keep event details and administration on track, manage deposits,
and help recruit and prepare your seasonal summer assistant.
May to October — Wedding Season
Coordinate and execute weddings at Fergie's, keeping couples, vendors, staffing, timelines and all the moving pieces on track.
You'll also help couples make more of their time with us by introducing experiences that fit naturally with their plans — maybe a BBQ the night before or brunch the morning after. We're looking for someone who is comfortable selling, but does it through genuine hospitality rather than a sales pitch.
Wedding bookings begin to wind down in October, and by November you'll start hosting tastings and preparing with couples for the following year's season.
You'll have the support of a seasonal assistant during the busy summer months.
October to April — Sunwolf Events & Planning
As wedding season wraps up, the pace and focus of the role changes. You'll spend more time in the office managing administration and preparing for the next wedding season, while also coordinating corporate events, meetings and other gatherings at Sunwolf.
WHAT YOU BRING
- You're naturally comfortable with people and genuinely enjoy hospitality.
- You're organized and detail-oriented and can keep multiple events and deadlines moving at once.
- You're comfortable suggesting and selling additional experiences when they'll genuinely add something to a guest's stay or event.
- You stay calm and practical when plans change or something unexpected comes up.
- You're comfortable moving between office administration and hands-on event execution.
- You're willing to jump in and do what needs to be done on event days.
- Experience with Microsoft suite- Word, Excel, etc. is required.
- Wedding or event planning experience is a strong asset.
- Caterease or other catering software is an asset.
- Hospitality experience is a robust asset.
- You're available for day, evening and weekend work based on the event schedule.
THIS COULD BE YOUR KIND OF ROLE
If you love the energy of a wedding day but also appreciate all the planning and details that make it happen, you'll probably feel at home here. You'll get to know our couples, take real ownership of their experience, and see the work you've done behind the scenes come together on the day.
May through October is our busiest time of year, so taking extended time off during the wedding season can be challenging. Outside of those peak months, there's more flexibility in how you structure your schedule where the work allows.
You'll have the independence to make the role your own, the support and mentorship of Fergie's owner, and room to grow as you build your experience with us.
And your office happens to be beside a river in Squamish. That's not bad either.
HOW TO APPLY
If this sounds like your kind of role, we'd love to hear from you.
Send us your resume along with a short note telling us a little about yourself, your experience, and what interests you about joining Fergie's.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- Extended health care
- Flexible schedule
- On-site parking
