Job Title: Hybrid Strata Building Caretaker / Cleaner (Sunday & Monday)

Job Type: Part-Time (Regular Sunday & Monday) + Vacation Coverages

Salary: $25.00 – $27.00 per hour

## Job Summary

We are seeking a tech-savvy and reliable Hybrid Strata Building Caretaker / Cleaner for a residential strata building in Vancouver. This role covers regular shifts every Sunday and Monday, requires 24-hour on-call availability on Sundays for emergencies, and includes full-time vacation fill-in coverage for the primary building manager.

## Core Responsibilities

* Cleaning & Janitorial: Maintain cleanliness in common areas, lobbies, hallways, elevators, and waste rooms.

* Waste & Recycle Management: Manage garbage, recycling, and organic bin rotations. Note: Must be flexible to shift the Monday workday to Tuesday when statutory holidays delay the city's collection schedule.

* Move-In / Move-Out Coordination: Supervise resident moves by putting up elevator pads, locking/unlocking the service elevator, and inspecting for damage.

* Building Security & Tech: Use computer systems to monitor security cameras, manage emails, and program electronic key fobs.

* On-Call Emergency Response: Remain on-call,



not necessarily on site for 24 hours every Sunday to handle urgent building or resident emergencies.

* Vacation Coverage: Step in for full-time caretaking duties when the primary manager is on vacation.

## Requirements

* Schedule Flexibility: Ability to shift the Monday shift to Tuesday following statutory holidays.

* Proficient English skills (both verbal and written) for resident communication and professional emailing.

* Robust computer literacy (email management, security software, and fob programming).

* Must successfully pass a Criminal Record Check.

* Availability for 24-hour on-call shifts on Sundays.

* 1–2 years of experience in strata building cleaning, janitorial work, or residential caretaking.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
