Cabin Resort Maintenance:

We're looking for a full-time maintenance person who can be presented with a challenge and find a creative solution with an eye for detail and pride in seeing a job well done. We want someone who is not afraid to say "I don't know but I am willing to learn!"

We have 14 cabins and 2 lodges on a beautiful, 5 acre, forested riverside property with an award-winning brunch restaurant: Fergie's Café. We are a busy wedding and corporate venue on top of accommodating our nightly guests.

Responsibilities:

- Daily property maintenance such as picking up litter, chopping and distributing wood, raking leaves, shoveling snow, mowing grass, and watering and tending to gardens.
- Assisting with on-going basic construction projects managed in-house, i.e. painting, sanding, caulking.
- Monitoring water, electric, gas, and septic systems.




- Available to answer and respond to emergency calls outside of office hours 2-3 nights a week.
- Liaise with Guest Services and Housekeeping to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety work practices, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Promote and adhere to our sustainable operations, in line with our Sustainable Tourism Certification.

Skills:

- Punctual, reliable and trustworthy.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner, while working independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to move physically all day and in all weather conditions, i.e. walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50lbs.
- Knowledge of and comfort with using power tools.
- Ability to fluently speak, write and read in English.
- Must have Canadian citizenship, or permanent resident status.
- Bonus - A driver’s license with clean abstract, and comfortable driving trucks and trailers

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
