We are currently seeking experienced and caring Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to provide ongoing overnight support to an older adult client in Mono, Ontario.

Position Overview

The client requires overnight assistance and supervision due to ongoing health concerns, including kidney-related medical needs. The successful caregiver will provide a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment throughout the night while assisting with personal care and other activities as required.

The family is looking to establish consistent overnight coverage from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM daily. We are open to hiring multiple caregivers to ensure reliable coverage and may consider both full-time and part time availability.

Responsibilities

- Provide overnight supervision and companionship
- Assist with personal care and activities of daily living
- Support toileting and bathroom needs as required
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and repositioning when necessary
- Monitor the client's general well-being throughout the shift
- Provide reminders and assistance according to the client's established care plan
- Maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
- Document relevant observations and report any changes or concerns
- Communicate professionally with the client, family, and RoyalCare team




- Provide respectful and patient support to a client who may have some difficulty communicating in English

Qualifications

- Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent healthcare training preferred
- Previous home care, senior care, or overnight caregiving experience is an asset
- Experience supporting clients with complex or chronic health conditions is considered an asset
- Current First Aid and CPR certification preferred
- Vulnerable Sector Check required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, compassionate, patient, and dependable
- Comfortable working independently in a client's home overnight
- Ability to consistently travel to Mono, Ontario for scheduled shifts
- Additional language abilities are considered an asset

Schedule

Regular Overnight Shift:
11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Coverage is required 7 nights per week.

Candidates who are available for only certain nights of the week are still encouraged to apply, as RoyalCare may build a consistent care team using multiple caregivers.
