TalentWorld is recruiting a Project Operations Manager in North York, Ontario for one of its valued partners.

In this position, you will be responsible for managing strategic automotive projects and business partnerships within the Canadian market, combining project management, business development, commercial negotiations and cross-functional leadership to support the successful execution and growth of key customer programs.

Schedule: Full-time, fully onsite in North York, Ontario

- The typical hiring range for this position is $120,000 to $160,000 per year and is specific to candidates located in Ontario. The salary will be determined based on your knowledge, skills and competencies, and you’ll have room to grow after you join! Project Operations Manager Responsibilities

- Lead and manage strategic automotive projects and business initiatives within the Canadian market
- Build and maintain strong relationships with OEM and Tier 1 customers, external partners and key stakeholders




- Manage projects throughout the lifecycle, coordinating across engineering, operations, finance, sales, quality and supply chain teams
- Support business development activities and identify opportunities to develop new customer relationships and strategic partnerships
- Lead commercial negotiations and support partnership agreements through to signing
- Manage and review international commercial contracts, pricing and other commercial requirements
- Evaluate project financial performance, including ROI, P&L;, business cases, costs and overall profitability
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across North America and international markets to ensure successful project execution
- Monitor project timelines, deliverables, risks and financial performance, escalating and resolving issues as required
- Represent the organization in customer meetings, commercial discussions and negotiations

Project Operations Manager Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or above; MBA is preferred
- 8+ years of relevant automotive industry experience, ideally within an OEM or Tier 1 supplier environment
- 5+ years of project management, program management, business development and/or commercial experience
- Experience managing automotive projects,



customers or strategic business partnerships within the Canadian market
- Strong customer-facing experience with the ability to manage relationships with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers and external business partners
- Demonstrated experience with commercial negotiations, contracts and partnership agreements
- Strong understanding of project financials, including ROI, P&L;, profitability and business case analysis
- Experience working with international customers, partners and cross-cultural teams
- Proven ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams
- PMP certification is considered an asset; equivalent project management experience will also be considered
- Strong English communication, presentation and negotiation skills; Mandarin language skills are considered an asset
- Ability to travel as required
