We are a patient-centered oral surgery practice committed to providing exceptional care for our patients. A long-time team member is retiring, and we are looking for a friendly, mature, organized, and professional candidate to join us as a surgical office administrator and chairside surgical assistant.
This role is ideal for someone who is able to multi task in a fast-paced environment, enjoys helping people, and wants to have the opportunity to train as a chairside surgical assistant in addition to their administrative duties. We are looking for someone who is excited and willing to learn the specific skills needed for this position. We are willing to train the right candidate! Key Responsibilities
Patient Experience & Adminstrative Operations
- Process MSP billing for hospital treatments & consultations
- Book hospital surgeries & complete all relevant paper work.
- Complete paperwork for outpatient medical imaging & testing
- Complete all correspondence to referring doctors
- Answer phones, emails, and patient inquiries with professionalism and clarity, including contacting referrals and scheduling consultations & treatment appointments
- Generate and manage financial transactions, including end of day, month and year reports. Prepare bank deposits and daily production summaries.
Administrative & Clinical Support
- Prepare and manage patient charts and documentation
- Update and maintain patient information in the practice management software
- Support the team with various administrative tasks as needed
- Willingness to be trained as a chairside assistant
Qualifications
Required:
- Solid verbal communication skills
- Excellent organization and time management abilities
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Professional and positive demeanor
- Willingness to work in a surgical setting and not upset at the sight of blood or needles, etc.
Preferred:
- Previous experience as a dental or medical office receptionist or in a dental/medical setting
- Proficiency with dental practice management software (Cleardent preferred)
- Chairside experience
- Knowledge of dental/medical terminology
- Experience with MSP billing
