Our client, with a facility 30 minutes outside of Kitchener, is looking for a Service Desk/ Yard Dispatcher to join their team in a full time Mat Leave position!

Job Responsibilities:

- Be the first point of contact for all truck drivers entering the yard.
- Operate the truck scale and communicate load requirements with yard operators (using CB radio).
- Coordinate with warehouse and yard team for efficient receiving of inbound shipments.
- Prepare and maintain organized records of shipping (ie. bills of lading, customs documents, etc.) and receiving paperwork.
- Update ERP with order status changes.
- Greet and assist customers, and visitors at our front desk.
- Manage phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate team members.
- Assist the Order Entry team with entering new sales orders.

Required Skills:

- Experience in dispatch, logistics, or customer service is preferred.




- Comfortable working with equipment and trucks to ensure ease of unloading/ loading of product
- Basic ERP system and computer skills preferred.
- Experience with a Transportation Management System (TMS) an ASSET
- Ability to coordinate with multiple teams under time constraints.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Quick on your Feet! Comfortable in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
