The IT Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, supporting, and troubleshooting computer systems, hardware, software, networks, and related technology. Building and maintaining relationships with our clients is a key component to this role. One of Etairos fundamental goals is selling an IT experience where you receive human contact. This role provides timely technical support to clients, helps maintain secure and reliable IT operations, and contributes to the continuous improvement of the organization’s technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability of developing and maintaining relationships with clients.

- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, peripherals, and other IT equipment.
- Provide technical support for both server and workstation hardware, software, account access, email, and application issues.
- Configure and provide technical support for complex network environments.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems in person, by phone, through remote access, or through a ticketing system.
- Set up user accounts, permissions, workstations, and equipment for new employees and role changes.
- Monitor and maintain computer systems, networks, backups, antivirus tools, firewalls, and other security controls.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior IT staff, vendors, or management as appropriate.
- Document in PSA software support requests, troubleshooting steps, asset details, system changes, and standard procedures.
- Test current hardware and software before deployment and support technology rollouts across the organization.
- Train clients on safe and effective use of IT systems, software, and security practices.
- Recommend process, system, or equipment improvements to improve service quality and operational reliability.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Developing, communicating and executing project plans with internal and external stakeholders.
- Successfully work within company service level agreements.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, or technical troubleshooting experience.
- Working knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems, Microsoft 365, common business applications, printers, mobile devices, and networking fundamentals.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, account access, and peripheral issues.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple support requests.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid class 5 Driver’s License and clean abstract.
- Criminal Record Check.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Work may be performed remote (work from home), in an office, hybrid, or field-based environment, depending on business needs.
- Requires travel between sites or after-hours support for urgent incidents, maintenance, or system upgrades.
- Requires lifting, moving, or setting up computer equipment, monitors, printers, cables, and related devices.
- Must follow company policies for privacy, confidentiality, cybersecurity, and acceptable use of technology.
