Job Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Finance Manager will play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, internal controls, audit support, and the leadership and development of the finance team.
The successful candidate will work closely with management and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial information, support effective decision-making, maintain strong financial processes and controls, and lead a high-performing finance team.
- Manage and oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support the Director of Finance with financial reporting, analysis, and other finance-related activities.
- Monitor and improve financial processes, reporting procedures, and internal controls to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial information.
- Perform financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and other performance reviews, and provide meaningful insights and recommendations to management.
- Support and coordinate the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department leaders to gather information and develop accurate financial projections.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts and identify significant variances, risks, and opportunities.
- Maintain and review internal financial controls and accounting procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with established policies and standards.
- Monitor changes in accounting standards, financial regulations, and reporting requirements and assist with maintaining compliance.
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports, financial impact assessments, and analyses to support management decisions and business initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting efficiency through the effective use of technology, systems, and financial tools.
- Collaborate with Human Resources, Operations, IT, and other departments to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
- Coordinate and support external audit activities, including preparing supporting documentation, responding to auditor inquiries, and assisting with the implementation of audit recommendations.
People Leadership and Team Management
- Lead, supervise, and support members of the finance and accounting team, providing direction, coaching, and ongoing performance feedback.
- Establish clear responsibilities, priorities, and performance expectations for direct reports.
- Support employee development through training, mentoring, coaching, and career development opportunities.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and address performance concerns in a timely and constructive manner.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and professional team environment focused on accuracy, continuous improvement, and meeting deadlines.
- Manage workloads and resources within the finance team to ensure key financial deadlines and departmental objectives are achieved.
- Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, training,
and development of finance team members.
- Promote effective communication and collaboration between the finance team and other departments across the organization.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation or progress toward a professional accounting designation is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including experience supervising or leading employees.
- Solid knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing employees.
- Experience working with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with employees and management across multiple departments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
