About the Position

Golden Rule Seniors Resource Centre is seeking a friendly, reliable, and energetic Program Facilitator to support and deliver recreational programming for older adults in our community. The successful candidate will help create a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging environment while assisting with programs, activities, events, and day-to-day recreation services.

Key Responsibilities

- Facilitate and assist with recreational programs and activities for older adults.
- Welcome participants and help create a positive, inclusive atmosphere.
- Set up and take down equipment and program spaces.
- Assist instructors, volunteers, and program leaders as needed.
- Encourage participation and positive social interaction among participants.
- Help coordinate games, fitness activities, arts and crafts, social activities, and special events.
- Provide basic administrative and program support, including attendance and registration.
- Communicate with participants about upcoming programs and activities.
- Ensure program spaces are secure, organized, and accessible.




- Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills

- Experience working with seniors, community recreation, programming, or volunteer coordination is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, patient, approachable, and dependable.
- Comfortable leading groups and engaging participants.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Basic computer and administrative skills.
- Ability to safely set up and move program equipment.
- First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.
