Job Overview

This key role reports to the CAO and collaboratively supports the CAO, Council and the Executive Leadership Team to assist in coordinating and implementing major municipal projects. Seeking a dynamic professional with diverse municipal experience to oversee strategic initiatives and timely project management activities, while coordinating, championing and facilitating internal departments, as well as with external partners, to advance strategic goals and priorities.

ROLE/QUALIFICATIONS:

A politically astute team player focused on achieving collective goals with an innovative, collaborative, and client focus.

- Well-developed municipal organizational and project management skills – planning, organizing, designing, monitoring, implementing, presenting, etc.
- Contribute to all project aspects: budgets, planning, coordination and assessment.
- Ability to keep projects moving forward, coordinating projects and meeting milestones.
- Robust communication skills including document writing, status update reports, and delivery of presentations.
- Knowledge and experience researching, developing and writing proposals/bid evaluations for government sponsored funding programs.




- Provide strategic advice and research to support project planning across Divisions.
- Lead cross-functional teams on corporate-wide transformation projects.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to connect and build working relationships with diverse stakeholder groups including business, government, community leaders.
- 5+ years experience in a municipal role, preferably in research or project work.
- Post-secondary/University Degree in business/public administration, social science or related field, with a PMP or CMP certification preferred.

COMPENSATION: $100,000 – $115,000 plus OMERS pension plus a percentage payment in lieu of benefits.
