LISBON PAVING CO. LIMITED is a mid-sized asphalt paving contractor serving the Northern York Region and Simcoe County areas. With a contemporary fleet of Truck Tractors, Dump Trucks, Trailers and Paving Equipment, we are looking for a Licensed Truck and Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform repairs and preventative maintenance duties to support our paving operations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Diagnose problems and mechanical failures and ensure safe operation of Trucks, Trailers and Equipment.
- Perform daily repair on Trucks and Paving Equipment
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment.
- Keep maintenance records and documentation and complete paperwork daily for each machine serviced.
- Inspect, maintain and use required personal protective equipment to ensure safety.
- Ability to troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, determine extent of repair required, adjust equipment, and repair or replace defective parts.
- Mobile repairs on the road are required.




- Ensure shop/repair facility is maintained in a safe manner and is always clean and tidy.

Requirements:

- 310T License
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working on heavy equipment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract and CVOR required.
- Must have necessary hand tools.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic pumps, motors, and air brake systems.
- Fleet Maintenance environment experience considered and asset.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision, and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time
