Southland Trailers

Why We’re More Than Trailers
For 45 years, Southland Trailers has been building more than trailers — we’ve been building a company where people come first. Today, we’re one of Canada’s largest trailer manufacturers with 560+ team members and a simple operating philosophy: people first, processes second, products third.

We believe in hard work, open communication, a positive attitude, continuous improvement, and leading with humility and respect. Using LEAN manufacturing and modern technology, we design and build high-quality trailers while constantly finding better ways to work.

At Southland, you’ll find a collaborative, hands-on environment where ideas are welcomed, initiative is valued, and your work makes a real impact.

If you’re driven, curious, and want to grow with a company that’s going places — you’ll fit right in.

As a Dealer Parts Specialist, you will be a key point of contact for Southland’s dealer network. You will manage day-to-day parts requests, prepare accurate quotes and orders, coordinate warranty and stocked or manufactured parts, and keep dealers informed from the first request through delivery.
This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys building customer relationships, solving problems, staying organized, and working across departments to deliver quality service while supporting profitable growth.

What You’ll Do

- Own communication and follow-up for assigned dealer accounts, including quotes, parts identification, order updates, backorders, warranty requirements, and issue resolution.
- Respond to dealer requests clearly and promptly.
- Create accurate quotes and sales orders, confirming part numbers, quantities, pricing, inventory, shipping information, and customer requirements before release.
- Prepare proforma invoices, picklists, packing slips, final invoices, and cross-border shipping documentation, including accurate HS codes when required.
- Complete final dealer invoicing within one hour of receiving completed shipping paperwork.
- Monitor open orders and backorders,

communicate delays early, and coordinate with internal teams to support committed delivery dates.
- Coordinate stocked and manufactured part requirements, including Work Order release and follow-up with Scheduling, Purchasing, Production, Paint, Warehouse, Shipping, and Logistics.
- Keep dealer contact cards and the dealer network spreadsheet accurate and current.
- Identify additional parts opportunities and promote relevant products to help the Dealer Parts team achieve its annual sales growth target.
- Use cost, quality, delivery, sales, margin, backlog, and warranty information to support better daily decisions and continuous improvement.

What You Bring

- Experience in parts, customer service, inside sales, order processing, warranty administration, or a related role is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and customer-focused approach.
- Excellent organization and priority-management skills in a rapid-moving environment.
- Strong attention to detail when working with pricing, part numbers, orders, invoices, and shipping documentation.
- Confidence using ERP systems, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and other business software.
- The ability to investigate problems, coordinate across departments, and know when to escalate.
- Knowledge of trailer parts, shipping and logistics, cross-border documentation, or HS codes is an asset; training will be provided where needed.

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You

- Build trust through consistent communication and reliable follow-through.
- Stay composed and solution-focused when priorities change or a customer needs urgent support.

- Balance the customer’s needs with quality, delivery, company processes, and profitable growth.
- Enjoy taking ownership, working collaboratively, and improving how work gets done.
- Demonstrate Southland’s core values in your everyday decisions and interactions.

You Might Not Be a Great Fit If You

- Prefer to hand off customer issues instead of seeing them through to resolution.
- Struggle to stay organized when managing multiple quotes, orders, follow-ups, and deadlines.
- Are uncomfortable working with detailed documentation, pricing, or performance targets.
- Wait for problems to escalate before communicating delays or asking for support.
