Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and versatile General Helper to join our energetic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting daily operations, ensuring smooth flow of goods, and maintaining a safe and efficient work setting. Your energetic approach and willingness to learn will contribute significantly to our warehouse distribution processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation, shipping and receiving, and warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

- Assist with the loading and unloading of shipments using heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, and other machinery
- Support order picking activities by accurately selecting items according to specifications
- Help organize and maintain warehouse inventory, ensuring proper storage and safety standards are met
- Participate in shipping and receiving procedures, verifying shipments against documentation
- Operate heavy equipment safely for material handling tasks, adhering to all safety protocols
- Aid in the maintenance of warehouse cleanliness and organization to promote a safe working environment




- Collaborate with team members on construction or refurbishment projects within the warehouse or facility as needed

Experience

- Previous warehouse experience is highly preferred, including familiarity with warehouse distribution processes
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, or clamp trucks is a strong advantage
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar inventory software is desirable
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures and heavy lifting techniques is beneficial
- Construction or industrial experience can be an asset for supporting various operational tasks
- Ability to operate load & unload equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 55.0 per week
