Duties and Responsibilities:

- Haul aggregates and/or asphalt to various work sites in Calgary and the surrounding area.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance inspections and safety checks to proactively identify any potential mechanical issues and advise the Dispatch Supervisor
- Always keep truck in clean and professional condition.
- Complete daily accurate pre-inspections, regulatory logs (e-logs), and timesheets.
- Complete daily accurate Field Level Hazard Assessment sheets for all worksites.

Qualifications and Experience:

- A minimum 2-year commercial driving experience.
- Must have a valid Class 1 driver’s license and provide current 5-year commercial drivers abstract.
- Must be able to drive standard (18 speed).
- Previous experience paving would be a great asset.
- Active Standard First Aid Certification is considered an asset.
- Construction Safety Training System (CSTS2020) Certification will be provided.
- Ability to identify and describe mechanical issues on the truck.
- Must have own transportation with strong knowledge of Calgary and surrounding area.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

- Must be available to work long hours including evenings and weekends.
- Must have CSA approved safety boots.
- Able to climb up and down from equipment.
