TalentWorld is recruiting a SolidWorks Drafter in Guelph, Ontario for one of its valued partners.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented Drafter to provide technical support in the preparation of engineered drawings and shop drawing packages for submission and fabrication. The successful candidate will have strong SolidWorks skills, experience interpreting construction blueprints, and the ability to manage technical documentation in a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 30-minute unpaid lunch | Overtime may be required during busy periods

The typical hiring range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 per year and is specific to candidates located in Ontario. The salary will be determined based on your knowledge, skills, experience, and competencies

SolidWorks Drafter Responsibilities

- Read and interpret blueprint drawings and technical documentation
- Review technical details to ensure accuracy and alignment with project requirements
- Prepare detailed shop drawings for submission and fabrication
- Provide technical drafting support to the Engineering team
- Maintain registry documents and engineering records




- Maintain accurate technical information in accordance with internal design and drafting principles and practices
- Collaborate with engineering and other internal teams to support project requirements
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and competing demands in a energetic environment
- Support documentation and record-keeping requirements throughout the engineering and fabrication process

SolidWorks Drafter Qualifications

- College or university diploma/degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or a related program
- Proven proficiency with SolidWorks is required
- Previous experience in a related industry is preferred
- Experience reading and interpreting construction blueprints
- Eligible for registration with OACETT or willingness to pursue registration
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and database systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
