Part Time Sales Associates (Budtenders) will help provide our customers with an exceptional experience while shopping for cannabis and related products.

Responsibilities:

Budtender (Sales Associate)

- Welcome and assist all customers that visit the store
- Professionally and politely handle all inquiries, feedback, complaints or concerns.
- Effectively educate customers about our products
- Process payments with POS and computer systems.
- Open and close the store accurately, efficiently and on time.
- Staying up to date on offers, specials and regulatory changes
- Responding to customer inquiries with comprehensive knowledge and accuracy.
- Maintaining sales goals on a daily and weekly basis.
- Closing and completing all end of day reports and procedures.
- Ensure store is kept clean and tidy.
- General merchandising of various product types & displays within the store
- Acting as part of a team, working collaboratively with your colleagues and management.

Age Gating (Acting as)

- Prevent cannabis sales to anyone under the age of 19, by reviewing government issued photo identification to validate permission to enter and/or make a purchase
- Assist in traffic flow management.
- Protect company’s staff by maintaining a secure and secure environment.
- Foster a sense of teamwork will all team members.
- Ensure the security of all company products and property at all times.
- Adhere to and uphold Loss Prevention systems to prevent all possible opportunities.
- Observe for signs of crime or disorder and communicate any disturbances.
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
- Report in detail any suspicious incidents.





Experience and Background

- Previous retail or customer service experience
- Clean background check.
- Manitoba Smart Choices Cannabis certification; required prior to employment offer
- Be at least 19 years of age.
- Polished professional with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Works well with others, alone and with little supervision.
- Knowledge of/ability to learn about cannabis plants, strains, products; brands and suppliers are considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and charisma
- Ensure a high level of customer interaction, suggestive selling and enthusiasm.
- Energetic and highly determined
- Working knowledge of Retail Cannabis & Working knowledge and passion for cannabis; an asset
- Experience in receiving product and appropriately reporting deliveries, as well as packing orders/shipments accurately
- Proficiency in MS office products, Google Applications (Google Docs, Sheets, Forms) and POS (cashier) systems.
- Proficiency in cash handling & taking customer payments
- Reliable transportation to & from work (public transportation available @ all 3 Star Buds locations).
