Responsibilities

- Prepare and assemble a variety of desserts, including cakes, pastries, and other sweet treats, following established recipes and presentation standards
- Decorate cakes and desserts with skillful cake decorating techniques to enhance visual appeal
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling and sanitation procedures at all times
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as mixing ingredients, portioning, and packaging desserts for display or takeout
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring all tools and ingredients are properly stored
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by answering questions about desserts and offering recommendations




- Support the team during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks in a lively environment

Requirements

- Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Knowledge of cake decorating techniques and baking processes is highly desirable
- Basic food preparation skills including food handling, cooking, and packaging are essential
- Strong understanding of food safety standards to ensure hygiene and quality control
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Kitchen experience involving food industry practices will be considered an asset

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
