We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTA) to facilitate delivery for multiple courses. The GTA will work closely with the instructor to coordinate and manage logistics, ensure a smooth program flow, and provide general support to program participants.

Available positions for:

- JSGS 801| Governance and Administration |The GTA will assist with grading and providing feedback on briefing notes and other course assignments, support class activities and discussions, and provide general course and administrative support to the instructor. Strong knowledge of Canadian governance, public administration, federalism, government institutions, and public policy processes through experience or by having completed JSGS 801. Familiarity with policy analysis, briefing note writing, and graduate-level academic expectations is preferred.| Dr. Justin Longo and Sessional Instructor
- JSGS 805| Economics for Public Policy Analysis |The assigned tasks would be: assist in preparing instructional material for each class; carry out tutoring sessions to students before assignments and tests; assist in marking assignments and tests. Ideally, completion of JSGS 805 in the past and a strong understanding of introductory microeconomics and its application to public policy, including supply and demand, market behaviour, market failures, efficiency, fairness, and government intervention. Ability to explain economic concepts and support students with quantitative and analytical problem-solving is preferred.| Dr. Iryna Khovrenkov
- JSGS 830 AA| MHA Residency II | **Provide support for the residency. The GTA must be able to provide support to the class during excursions and for the weekend of the in-person residency on September 18-20, 2026.

- JSGS 891 | Public Policy Professionalism |The GTA will support course delivery by assisting with class activities and group work, monitoring student participation and assignment completion, providing feedback on written and presentation assignments, and assisting with grading and course administration under the direction of the instructor. General knowledge of Canadian government, public administration, public policy processes, and the role of the public service. Familiarity with policy writing, briefing notes, and graduate-level academic expectations is preferred.|Sessional Instructor – Lindsay Freitag
- JSGS 817| Health Policy|The assigned tasks would be: assist in preparing instructional material for each class; assist in marking assignments and returning them to students, and corresponding with students as needed. Ideally, completion of JSGS 817 in the past or has knowledge of the health-related course content including policy analysis frameworks, health policy, the Canadian health care system and its supporting principles, governance structures and fiscal arrangements.| Dr. Sophia Myles

- Proficiency in Zoom




- Prior experience in event planning, logistics coordination, project management, and hybrid event delivery are strongly preferred
