A busy, fully equipped service shop is hiring a Journeyman On-Road Truck & Trailer / Heavy Equipment Technician in Stony Plain, AB to repair construction, forestry, mining, highway truck, and trailer equipment. Duties & Responsibilities

- Perform shop repairs on highway trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
- Complete commercial vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Complete CVIP inspections, preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, and functional testing.
- Identify faults, determine repair plans, and complete repairs efficiently to reduce downtime.
- Document repairs and service details using computer-based work order systems.
- Work independently or with the team to maintain a safe, efficient shop environment.

Requirements

- Required:

- - Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician certification.
- Strong experience diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- CVIP inspection experience.




- Ability to troubleshoot and repair highway trucks, trailers, and off-highway heavy equipment.
- Comfortable using diagnostic tools and digital work order systems.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
- Must provide a personal toolbox and trade tools.
- Clear communication skills, safe work habits, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- Preferred:

- - Experience across multiple makes and models of commercial vehicles, trailers, construction, forestry, and mining equipment.

#SJ1 Compensation:

- $40.00 – $60.00/hour based on experience, certification, and skill level

- Overtime available after 40 hours per week
