Join our dynamic agricultural team at Paradise Valley Pork Farms 2025 Inc. located at NW 9 47 3 W4 Paradise Valley as a Senior Swine Technician. You will become a vital part of ensuring the health, well-being, and productivity of our swine herd. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for daily animal care, maintaining clean and safe facilities, and supporting the overall operations of our farm. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help us uphold high standards of animal welfare and operational efficiency.
Duties
- The duties for this position will include:
- Supervise and oversee a section of the farm – i.e. Breeding, Farrowing, Nursery, Finisher;
- Work with the Farm Manager and contribute to the overall planning and operations of the farm;
- Supervise and train other farm workers;
- Recognize and treat certain livestock health problems;
- Perform artificial insemination;
- Select livestock for sale;
- Maintain quality control, production and livestock records;
- Operate and maintain farm equipment and machinery – i.e. Tractors, feeding, watering & ventilation systems;
- Perform general farm duties as required.
Requirements
- Mechanical knowledge or experience working with farm machinery is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively throughout the workday
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
- Minimum 2-3 years hog experience
- Strong attention to detail with excellent observation skills for animal health monitoring
- Ability to follow safety protocols diligently to ensure personal safety and that of colleagues

Pay: $22.50-$25.00 per hour
