Supervisor – Tree Planting Department
Full-time, Seasonal | Ontario, Canada

Royal Oak Services is looking for a motivated and experienced Arborist Supervisor to lead our Tree Planting Department. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll guide a team of tree planters and nursery workers while ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality planting operations across Ontario.

Key Responsibilities (after training)

- Plan, estimate, and coordinate labour and materials
- Provide strong leadership by supervising, scheduling, training, and motivating staff
- Direct day-to-day tree-planting operations and establish clear work schedules and procedures
- Resolve work-related issues promptly and professionally
- Order and manage materials, equipment, and supplies
- Maintain accurate records and reports using Microsoft Office

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Solid knowledge of Ontario tree species and tree health
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Experience operating small engine equipment and pick-up trucks
- Strong leadership and team management skills — proven ability to lead, coach, and inspire a crew
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office for record-keeping and reporting
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills





Physical Requirements & Work Conditions

- Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including hot summer days
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking; standing for extended periods
- Manual dexterity and ability to distinguish between colours
- Comfortable working under pressure with tight deadlines

Job Type: Full time, Seasonal
Wage: $34.00 – $40.00 per hour (based on experience)
