We are a local, family owned and operated fresh bakery, with bakery operations in Sussex, NB, and Moncton, NB. We are seeking a versatile and customer-focused individual to fill the role of Cake Decorator/Baker at our Moncton location. In this position, you will not only showcase your creative cake decorating skills but also play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, managing orders, generating quotes, and overseeing inventory.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Utilize artistic skills to decorate cakes according to established designs or custom specifications.
- Apply various icing techniques, fondant, and other decorative elements to create visually appealing and unique cake designs.
- Take and process customer orders, ensuring accuracy in details .
- Provide detailed and accurate quotes for custom cake orders.
- Offer recommendations and suggestions for design elements based on customer preferences and event themes.
- Efficiently manage the entire order process, from initial inquiry to order completion.
- Regularly conduct inventory checks and report any shortages or quality issues.
- Other duties as required




- Adhere to hygiene and sanitation standards in the workplace, including the proper cleaning and maintenance of decorating tools and equipment.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Cake Decorator, preferably in a professional bakery or similar environment.
- Strong artistic and creative abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Knowledge of various cake decoration techniques, including piping, fondant application, and sugar crafting.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to generate accurate quotes for custom cake orders.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team workplace.
- Flexibility to adapt to different design requests and work with various themes.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
