Who Are We?
Owner-operated and community-focused, the Wells Hotel is working to elevate our historic Cariboo Gold Rush icon to a destination accommodation through ambience, authenticity, design, and service. Guest experience plays a central role in building our vision.
We are seeking a leadership-oriented individual with talent and a desire for small-town living who can help us create remarkable experiences at our historic hotel.
The Tasks:
- Under the guidance of the Hotel Manager, lead, coach, and train a team of 5-7 staff in the customer-facing operations of a historic boutique hotel and restaurant
- Monitor and maintain high standards for service, cleanliness, safety, and job performance of the front-of-house team
- Foster a company culture that aligns with our values: adventure, balance, charm, history, wilderness, service, creativity, ambition
- Learn the tasks of all front-of-house positions to provide training to staff and coverage for breaks and relief: server, housekeeper, front desk, custodian
- Assist with inventory management
- Ensure billing, payments, reservations, and administrative processes are handled accurately
- Monitor service and work areas for safety issues, and report maintenance needs
- Learn about local attractions, amenities, and events, and provide information to guests about Wells and area.
- Assist in coordinating, marketing,
and providing in office support for special events
- Build positive relationships with vendors, partners, and the local small business community
- Act as a point of contact for special guest requests
- Respond to guest complaints and challenges and collaborate with the staff team to find appropriate solutions.
- Inspire and motivate the staff team to create services and practices for exceptional guest experiences.
Our ideal candidate:
- Formal hospitality training or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated leadership capacity
- High communication and organizational skills
- Experience in food service and accommodation settings
- High commitment to kindness and professionalism

Job Requirements:
- Must be able to commute or relocate to Wells, BC
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs
- Job will require frequent lifting, bending and use of stairs
- Fluency in English language
What you’ll get:
- Full-time hours
- Starting wage $24/hour, with an increase to $26/hour after completion of probationary period

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
