Canada
Primary Function: Operates CNC Swiss Style lathes performing offsets and completing in process inspection checks.
Tools & Equipment: Machining Equipment including CNC Swiss-type Lathes, and measuring devices including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and height gauge. Safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection, and appropriate safety gloves.
Competency Requirements:
Education / Knowledge - High School Diploma and some post Secondary is preferred. Strong Math skills required.
Minimum 2 year experience on CNC Swiss style lathes- STAR CNC experience preferred
Company will provide training.
Responsibilities:
- Performs work requiring CNC programming and machining knowledge.
- Applies basic metrology and uses hand measuring instruments – micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.
- Reads drawings and understands GDT.
- Inspects work in accordance with drawing specifications.
- Carries out prescribed preventive maintenance activities in accordance with schedule / checklists.
- Effectively repairs / sharpens associated tools as required.
- Applies close mental and visual attention involving close tolerances.
- Minimizes scrap and rework.
- Minimum absenteeism and is punctual.
- Completes shop records accurately and completely.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 34.0 – 40.0 per week

Experience:
- working in AS9100 or ISO 9001 certified company: 1 year (required)
- CNC Swiss Machining: 2 years (required)
