We're currently seeking a reliable and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant to be the friendly face at our front desk and a helping hand behind the scenes.

Duties

- Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism as they arrive at the clinic.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring efficient use of the veterinarian's time.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the clinic's database.
- Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
- Assist in managing inventory of supplies and laboratory materials as needed.
- Assist in patient handling, proper restraint for various procedures, and basic patient care as needed.
- Assist with surgical procedures, including patient preparation, monitoring during surgery and recovery, post-surgery cleanup, and sterilization of instruments for upcoming procedures.




- Ensure the reception area and exam rooms are clean, organized, and welcoming for clients and their pets.

Requirements

- Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Robust communication skills with a friendly demeanour towards clients and pets alike.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using computer systems for scheduling and record management.
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures is a plus, enhancing your ability to assist the veterinary team.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
