Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations. This role requires a solid understanding of commercial driving regulations, excellent navigation skills, and the ability to operate heavy equipment. The Truck Driver will play a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Operate trucks and heavy equipment to transport freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving on highways and local roads.
- Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure the truck is in optimal working condition.
Experience
- Proven 3 years experience in commercial driving with a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Need 3 years of Letter of Experience from past experience.
- Previous experience in Container Transportation
- Strong mechanical aptitude for basic automotive repair tasks is advantageous.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
