Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ironworker apprentice to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing structural steel components across various projects. Candidates should be committed to safety, precision, and quality workmanship to ensure successful project completion in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine project requirements. This is a field position with job sites located in and around the Edmonton area
- Perform rigging and mechanical tasks necessary for lifting and positioning heavy steel components using cranes and lifts
- Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards
- Maintain a clean work environment and properly handle materials to prevent accidents
Qualifications
- Safety Training Certifications: Fall Protection, Elevated Work Platform, CSTS 2020 **MUST HAVE THESE**
- Familiarity with blueprints and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Knowledge of commercial steel erection
- Robust understanding of safety protocols within construction settings
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in physically demanding environments
- Own harness, lanyard, tools and tool belt **MUST HAVE THESE**

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
