Job Summary
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Interior Designer/Drafter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is passionate about design and skilled in transforming spaces into functional, aesthetically refined environments. This role requires close collaboration with clients, development of design concepts, and involvement in all phases of the project lifecycle—from initial consultation to final implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to determine design preferences, functional requirements, and budget parameters.
- Produce high-quality drawings and possess strong drafting capabilities.
- Develop detailed design plans, including layouts, color palettes, furniture selections, and material specifications.
- Prepare professional presentations, mood boards, and visual materials to communicate design concepts.
- Conduct on-site measurements, evaluations, and design assessments.
- Coordinate effectively with contractors, architects, engineers, and vendors to ensure quality control and adherence to project timelines.
- Stay current with industry trends, materials, technologies, and best practices to deliver innovative solutions.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, organization, and deadline compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related discipline preferred.
- Proven experience as an Interior Designer, Draftsperson, or similar role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and/or Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
- Robust understanding of color theory, spatial planning, and contemporary design trends.
- Excellent verbal and visual communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and confidently.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
