We are currently hiring a Manager Mechanical Design for one of our clients a manufaturer

in automation feed equipment for; stampers, fabricators, and manufacturers.

Our client is located in the Tomken and Britannia area of Mississauga.

Day shift: Monday through Thursday 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM, and Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Pay Rate: $60.10 per hour

Knowledge and Education

Mechanical or Industrial Engineering technologist or degree; Bachelor of Applied Science, Mechanical Engineering 5+ Years of experience

Experience

- Generate & maintain the CAD drawings and Solid Works 3D models required to manufacture Coil Processing Equipment.
- Provide support to manufacturing for the construction of new Coil Processing systems or the refurbishment of used Coil Feed Lines.
- Responsible for the Engineering analysis and design of current and recent products.
- Managed multiple projects for the introduction of new product models. This includes the
- management of product design, testing, budget, procurement, and installation of new tooling, database setup, and the creation of product documentation, and BOM’s.




- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of Engineering & Manufacturing database
- functions.
- Understanding of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, actuators, and all mechanical components and design of a coil feed line including uncoilers, Straighteners and Electronic Roll Feeders.
- Performed engineering calculations for the products for determining the strength of components including:

Different metal Tensile/Yield Strength’s and characteristics.

Structural Design & load values

FEA – Finite Element Analysis

Plastic/elastic deformation and deflection tolerances

Welded connections

Torque and Motor Sizing requirement’s

Component sizing for bearings, gears, Cylinders, etc.

Maintenance considerations.

Safety and control, etc.

- Involved in product development meetings with management and manufacturing to exchange
- ideas.
- Experience or knowledge with different materials including AHSS/HSLA, Dual Phase, Hot/Cold
- Rolled, Aluminum, Coated, Stainless, & Galvannealed steels.
- Performed or assisted in product tests to determine if the desired results were achieved. This
- included tests for load, pressure, fatigue, and deflection.
