Quality Specialist, Electrical
Locations: Pickering, ON and Kincardine, ON
Project Sites: OPG Pickering/Darlington and Bruce Power
Duration: 1 year to start, with potential to transition to a full time position
Work Arrangement: Fully in office
Pay Rate: $75 to $98/hr IC / $75 to $84/hr CE, depending on relevant skills and experience.
Security Clearance: Current OPG or Bruce Power Security Clearance required, depending on work location
Position Overview
Our client is seeking experienced Quality Specialists, Electrical to support electrical inspection and quality activities at nuclear project sites in Ontario.
The successful candidates will perform incoming, in-process, and final electrical inspections, review and work within Inspection and Test Plans, conduct on-site inspections, support source surveillance activities, and ensure required quality documentation is completed accurately.
These positions require Certified Electrical Journeymen with relevant electrical inspection, quality, or field experience and current nuclear site security clearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical inspections during incoming, in-process, and final inspection stages.
- Review and work within Electrical Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Conduct electrical inspections at site and verify work against applicable requirements.
- Act as a customer liaison during ITP inspections.
- Complete and submit History Dockets and associated quality documentation.
- Perform source surveillance activities as required.
- Identify and communicate quality issues and support their resolution.
- Ensure inspection records and documentation are accurate, complete, and compliant with project requirements.
- Collaborate with quality, engineering, construction, project management, and customer teams.
- Support overall quality assurance and inspection activities for nuclear projects.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Electrical Journeyman required.
- Current OPG Security Clearance required for Pickering/Darlington assignments.
- Current Bruce Power Security Clearance required for Kincardine assignments.
- Relevant experience in electrical inspection, quality assurance, or field quality activities.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation, specifications, drawings, and Inspection and Test Plans.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a site environment.
- Nuclear industry experience is preferred.
